Our Story
From Chicago to South Florida
Meet Lou Sweilem
Lou Sweilem grew up on the streets of Chicago, where good food wasn't just a meal—it was a way of life. From the iconic Chicago-style hot dogs to the legendary Italian beef sandwiches, Lou learned early on that authentic flavors and quality ingredients make all the difference.
After years of perfecting his craft in the Windy City, Lou made the decision to bring a taste of Chicago to South Florida. In 2010, he relocated to Pembroke Park and opened Fat Lou's Hotdogs, a place where Chicago transplants and locals alike could experience the real deal.
A Chicago Sports Haven

But Fat Lou's isn't just about nostalgia—it's about community. Whether you're a lifelong Chicagoan missing the flavors of home, or a local discovering Chicago-style cuisine for the first time, you're always welcome at our table.
